FROM THE SURFACE

Babe . first thing first , this post will be so super-duper-long . it's a comeback , aite ? haruslahh panjang . wahhh lamanya tak hapdate blog kann . enjoying my leisure time at home definitely . final is over already . relieved ? absolutely NO is the answer . conass punn ntah hape2 . as usual , i screwed my 2nd conass as well . all failed . what a record ilyana . 3rd conass ? ohhh tak ku lihat result nyaaa . sebab takott down when the final came . sorry ! hmmm seemed like it was only yesterday when i kept nagging for the B414 in 2nd college . rupanya dah 1 semester i've been exercising up and down the stairs to the 4th floor . plus the walking of the college and fac to and fro everyday . but still im a big round potato . what to do . -.-"

hmmm time flies . cuti 3 weeks punn tinggal berapa hari jea lagikk . le sigh . yup that's fact . along this 1 semester , it's been a tough pathway . the toughest one in my 19 years alive . ohh almost 20 ilyana . jgn lupa diri . yes , it is . trying to catch up with the syllabus . struggling to stay awake in every class and lecture . get through every single practical , dissection , and all those tutorials . fighting with the sleepiness and dizziness every single morning resulted of stay awake the night before , just to finish all those tasks . but then , still dont have enuff time to study . have to retain as much energy and keep fit for the 8am to 7pm schedule .  plus , the extra 6 hours on the night to cover the uncovered one . study and keep studying . build up my biceps , burden up my clavicle and scapula for those gigantic textbooks and my camping bag , full with the notes everyday . and after all this hurdles , what i get is FAIL on my last conass . DUGAAN . this is really NOT a joke . this is the reality of being a MBBS student . for me , precisely .

every second here is tiring and exhausting . it is . no lie . but then , doing something that bound to our passion , all those suffering is just fascinating . yes , i do nag . A LOT ! but then , after everything , this is where i will turn up back . MBBS . all those nags is just the way i express my feelings . being a MBBS student , it is stressful , yet it's just incredible . somehow , im glad i've been sent here by Allah . able to have the chance to be one of the MBBS student in UM , i know im lucky enuff . i'm here baru 1 semester , but the experience that i gained in these period is really TOO much . all those lessons , moments here are indescribable . i dont know how to express my feelings anymore . but here are some timeline pictures from the first moments i step in to the moment right now . i know it's not sufficient to express everything . at least i have something to share to you guys of some moments i cherish here . enjoy ! :D

#1 MY SECOND HOME

Here's my home in UM . Kolej Kediaman Tuanku Bahiyah a.k.a 2nd college :) Some parts of it . from the view of my floor . 4th floor . B414 remember ? so high , so much energy consumed going ups and down everyday . :/

#2 MINGGU HALUAN SISWA (MHS)

Typical program for freshies . orientation week . here in UM , we called it Minggu Haluan Siswa (MHS) . have been experienced it before during MHS PASUM , back a year ago . hmmm again another memory of MHS being created . this time , MHS is more fun . with more cheers . and more friends . from all over the college . together we united in Dewan Tunku Canselor (DTC) .

Only managed to capture these 2 colleges only . 4th college because they sit next to us in one of the programs . and why i got to have that 5th college ? due to Mr. N , crush during PASUM time . woot ! woot ! :D Mr. N used to stay in fifth college , tiba2 excited . thats why i have that one even they are really high up there . my 2 besties whom i met in PASUM forced me to do that . ilyana , stop flirting please !

There's one thing interesting in this MHS , instead of seeing Mr N doing PALAPES cheers . haishhh berenti menggatal . i've got to meet Lisa Surihani . in person . waaaa , she's so gorgeous . extremely enchanting . now , im exaggerating . and i met Mejar Dr Faiz as well . he's handsome lahh of course . gila takkk handsome . ;D

Ohhh here's my 2 besties made during MHS . Nur Alifah (Iffa) and Nur Anis Arina (Anis) . How they became my besties ? we're in the same group . known as sel 3 . like a prison haa ? MHS , standard lahh . :D

The one with maroon tudung is Anis and the black one is Iffa . Ohhh forgot . three of us are PASUMians . majority of us here are PASUMians . which masa MHS baru tahu these certain pepel are actually exist in PASUM dulu . kesian ! nmpak sgt kat PASUM duduk dalam gua tak campur orang . Anis is doing pharmacy now . Iffa doing asset management . Anis and me are in the same faculty . so , selalu jumpa . Iffa stucked in Fakulti Alam Bina . so , jarang jumpa . but , we're in the same softball team during SUKMUM . jejak kasih sekejap . :') ohhh yes , softball is another story . wait .

PM tales , PM jebat , PM alang . woot ! woot ! tuhh semua PM yg hot stuff masa MHS . ada lagik senanya . tapi tak ingat nama . otak nenek kebayan always like this . faham aje lahhh . and masa MHS gakk lahh pergi usha mamat handsome nama iqbal . anis punyaa crush . how boleh jd crush dia ? when i bumped into iqbal from the back masa balik dari DTC . terus anis jatuh sayang . aku yg langgar , anis yg suka . kan anis kan ! hahaha . now anis and iqbal are the pharmacian-to-be in 4 years time . good luck babeh ! :D

During MHS , tak fikir pasal study lagi . still in dreaming mode . plus the skema mode . look how skema we were back before . wearing that MHS big nametag .  which mine is already putus on 2nd day of MHS . the ganas ilyana , siapa tak kenal kan . by the time this pict taken , my nametag is already lunyai sebab guna untuk kipas diri sendiri . what a useful nametag ! hmmm another memory . :')

#3 ANOTHER ORIENTATION -.-"

The next week after MHS , still class hasn't started yet . during the days , we have the faculty orientation . all those introduction to get us familiar with the overall system in our faculty . all those ceramah2 and pesanan penaja . amazingly , we're very anticipate to listen to it . we dont even sleep . im very sure of it . yet , comparing those times with the current time , our level of anticipation is much2 higher before . haishhh typical student . one interesting activity during our faculty orientation is the Nursing Attachment Program . that's the first time we visit the hospital , knowing every single things necessary needed in every ward , holding the stethoscope for the first time , taking our friend's blood pressure , listening to our friends' heartbeat . OMG this programs is really DAEBAK ! but , no picture's taken . sorry . phone is strictly prohibited during that time . rugi kannn . naaa its okay . that memory will remained inside . ^^,

During the night instead , we have full and packed program arranged by the college . why ? to prevent us , the freshies from being ragged with the seniors . especially MBBS , pharmacy and dentistry student . itu kata pengetua . so , by hook or by crook , we have to attend the college's program every single night . nak stay college next year punya pasal kann . again , kena jadi skema . haizzz .

#5 FIRST BABY STEP

One week has passed . class already started the weeks after . here begins our real journey . struggling with all the schedule , adapting and fitting ourselves in the life as what we called "medic life" . excited at first . get through the completely new experiences . new syllabus . semangat dia lain macam . study ponn happy jea . biaselahh , awal2 syllabus not as hardcore like what we are studying now . anatomy just intro2 jea . biochem revise masa PASUM punyaa dulu . physio ponn core jea baru . so , still in leisure time . mula-mula , we love to study in BBG or Bilik Bacaan Guthrie precisely . our college study hall . got aircond there ! seronok study dalam aircond . but then now , B414 is the absolute heaven . no lovers drama , no distraction , only us having fun enjoying every seconds together . :)

First month as a MBBS student , the tense is still acceptable . we still have times to do the other part-time activities . and we still rajin nak keluar dari kolej during the night to join the activities held by the university . like ceramah , FESKUM and so whatever . compare to now , after a whole hectic day , what we want to do during the night is only staying in the room and revising . what a life , so , here's one memory of the past leisure :

#6 MIMPI PROGRAMME

Remember i tell you once up there that we don't have orientation session with our seniors sebab semua pengetua tak bagi kami berinteraksi dengan our seniors sebab takott ragging ? so after 3 weeks the semester started , they held MIMPI programme for us . MIMPI stands for Minggu Induksi Mesra Pelajar Perubatan Islam . so basically , this 3 days programme is our orientation week with our seniors . minggu interaksi senior-junior lahh senang cerita . only on this time , we can find our buddy . note that buddyline is the tradition in medicine field . why ? sebab without the buddyline , of course susah nak survive masa houseman . and from buddy atas lahh kita dpt blaja about medic life , how to adapt and so on . and plg penting brg buddy ! crucial sgt tuhh . tradisi turun-temurun . so , we have to have our own buddyline ! and this is the time we have the chance to find one .

Malam Perasmian MIMPI . taken before the programme begin . taken before me transformed into bidadari kayangan yg turun dri syurga . yekkkk itu melebih ! me with jiran bilik sebelah . also my besties here in UM . the sweet girl on my right is Ima . she's so nice . sejak malam MIMPI , dia suka panggil saya BIDADARI , sebab malam MIMPI nehh saya berlakon jadi bidadari kannn . ima sama Academic Advisor dengan saya , with Dr Kumar yang handsome itu . haha . Ima ada satu habit , me love her habit so much which is MANJAKAN FITRAH ILYANA no matter where i am and what time is it . ♥♥♥ on my left is Tina . Tina ada kembar , ponn nama Diyana . tapi study MBBS dekat UPM . dia selalu pergi jumpa kembar dia every weekends . k bye ! sekian bedtime stories saya untuk 2 kawan baik ini . :D

The next dayy , ada Explorace . with seniors from 2nd to 5th year . Explorace inilahh sesi me-ragging yang sebenarnya . but , it's so fun frankly . takde lahh ragging mana punn . it still acceptable lahhh . every station we've been through worth a bitter yet enjoyable experience . diri yang pada mulanya sangat fresh dan bersemangat datang pagi2 turned out to be a monster in the evening . ditiup dengan tepung , makan tepung , transformed into a monkey , berperang dengan water balloon , disembur dengan water balloon , bergelumang dengan lumpur , berkawan baik dengan buah kelapa dan kehujanan sepanjang explorace . hasilnya ? scroll ke bawah . jangan terkejut ! itu bukan monster . itu ilyana . fuhhh i expose my ugly self after 1000 times of thinking . you better appreciate it well ! :D

Hai Kak Etty (buddy Hanis) , Hai Kak Nazy (buddy Saya) , Hai Abg Syafiq (buddy Tirah) . haaa kan elok budi pekerti mcm tuhh ? kekeke .

MIMPI is officially over . yeayyy ! the day after , we held some feast . saje nak celebrate kejayaan persembahan kami during the MIMPI night . even with the very few practice and rehearsal , together with the perangai and kerenah kami yg masuk air , kami berjaya menyudahkan persembahan dengan lancar dan mengikut aturan tanpa ada yang tergolek or terjunam , so it considered as a successful performance lahhh . so here we are , rewarded ourself with dominos pizza and air gas berbotol-botol . sungguh tak sihat gaya hidup bakal2 doktor ini . apakan daya -.-"

#7 BERPIJAK KEMBALI DI BUMI YANG NYATA

After enjoying every moment in the MIMPI programme , we came back to the ground finally . continuing back our rough journey . me being lost in the stacked notes and textbooks every single night . suffering the headache every Monday due to the histology practical . the microscope will never cope with my eyes yg rabun ini . bearing the super strong smell of formaline every Tuesday in the disection hall . tried hard to find back my appetite after 3 hours facing the cadaver (mayat) . smile brightly on Wednesday if petang tuhh SSL (self-student learning) , means that boleh balik awal tidur before bangun membebel sebab kena pergi kelas APK pukul 5 . or berperang dengan diri sendiri kalau petang tuhh ada video session whether nak pergi video which finally memang end up melepek atas meja membuta atau korbankan video session and balik hostel tidur . awal-awal memang rajin pergi video session . makin ke belakang , makin rajin saya memburu B414 . kenapa ? sebab kelas APK dahh takde . wahaha buruk perangai ! jangan ikut yeee , tak baik ! every Thursday , bergaduh dengan dilemma sendiri , nak pergi class clinical scenario takkk . every Friday , happy time ! kenapa ? sebab nak balik , itu wajib happy ! tapi yg paling penting , doing crime yang paling common : tuang kelas CFCS every morning pukul 8am . so , secara rasmi nya , kelas saya , Diyana , Hanna and Aina pada hari jumaat bermula pukul 9am . wink wink ! hikhik .

#9 CPR TRAINING

panjang post pasal besties saya . look how i enjoyed my time with all my besties :) i just cant help but keep talking and talking about them . mintak maaf . heee . hmmm now about the CPR training . another new experiences . before this , dengar jea orang dokk buat CPR . but then now , i experienced it by myself . fyi , CPR test is one of the compulsory test in MBBS . kalau tak passed CPR test , tak boleh grad ! hmmm puas ! but kami tak buat dekat manusia yee . we did our CPR training to the mannequin (orang tiruan) . haha satu mannequin share 4 orang . so , seronok mannequin tuhh dapat kiss free . ahaha every CPR kena sterile balik mulut mannequin tuhh dengan alcohol scrap . so don't worry . it is safe . teeeheeee . basically , first kiss saya telah diberi kepada mannequin terchenta . kesian . :D

#10 FIRE DRILL

ahahah fire drill ini sangat interesting nak cerita . standard lahh fire drill normally pihak kolej takkan bagitahu the exact date . tapi 2 or 3 weeks before fire drill tuhh , ada lahh we saw some pepel check fire alarm dekat every floor . then we talked among us , haa beware yee . fire drill dahh dekat . kita kena tdow pakai baju proper2 . tunggu punya tunggu , seminggu tuhh takde punn fire drill . mnggu depan nyaa tuh punn takde gakk . then we conclude yg lambat lagi kott fire drill nehhh . haha . the next week , kitorg punn tidur jea pakai baju biasa . no more tdow pakai sweater and track bottom . hakhak semangat nk fire drill nyaa pasal . rela tidur bermandikan peluh . heeee . normally , in our room , the one yg tidor paling lambat usually is me . selalu sleep dlm pukul 2 mcm tuh . then one night tuhh , both my rumate slept already . Hanis slept dekat menara Rapunzel dia malam tuhh . Diyana also dah slept . about 12.30am mcm tuhh aku dahh mngantuk sangat2 . so aku punn tidur awal gakk mlm tuhh . tak pernah2 sleep awal kann . tgh syok2 sleep , tiba-tiba terkejut ada org ketuk pintu . and together with bunyi siren yg sumpah kuat gilaaa . OMG fire drill ! kenapa lahh waktu malam yg aku tidur awal plak nehhh ! dah lahh pakai baju tidur plakk tuh . dengan keadaan yg super mamai aku kejut hanis dengan diyana . sumpah gabra . koridor semua dah blackout . Hanis terus terjun dari menara Rapunzel . nasib baik tak terjunam masuk dalam almari aku . ahaha . aku sempat tuka track , sarung cardigan , pakai jea tudung dengan rupa baru bangun tidur yg sangat sampah sekali . hanis plakk turun dengan seluar kotak-kotak dia , ranggi doe nis ! hahaha jadi bahan seminggu tuhh seluar kotak-kotak dia . haha .

afta siap ala kadar mana yg sempat , kitorg punn turun bawah , gather dekat court bola tampar . tgk jam dah dekat 1.30am . gila lahh bomba nehh . esok kitorang kelas pukul 8am kottt . consider lahh . haha tapi kann , mcm2 ghoman orang ada kat situ . majority perempuan turun mmg standard pakai seluar tidur jea dahh . yg pakai baju kelawar punn ada . haha comel gilaa . ada yg muka pisat-pisat . ada yg rambut dahh mcm sarang burung , ini sumpah funny gilaa ! ohh mengata orang , diri sendiri yg selekeh dia tak sedar diri . sila gelakkan diri sendiri . fire drill over dekat pukul 3am . lepas dia membebel ape ntah kat depan tuhh . kitorg kat blkang membuta lepas penat cam-whoring . heeee :D

#11 HIV E.R.A.S.E EVENT

HIV ERASE EVENT nehhh event first aku join in Medical Society . for me , event nehh banyak ajar aku erti friendship , erti sabar and erti berdikari . event nehh majority joined by chinese . melayu takk ramai . thanks to this event , aku kenal and rapat dengan ramai kawan-kawan cina and senior2 cina from that moment . and it was great . masa program nehh gak lahh permulaan aku kenal si Lutfi tuhh . dia satu committee dengan aku . gila rupanyaa si Lutfi nehh . terlebih study kott . ahahaha . sorry Lutfi ! so , seronok ! banyak benda aku buat for the first time kat sini . aku buat sculpture gigantic tuhh dengan budak architecture sampai 2am . aku menari flash mob with our batchmates . sumpah funnn !

Hari yg sama dengan event nehh , aku ada sofbol tournament gakk . wakil kolej untuk SUKMUM . pagi aku pergi tournament dulu , petang tuhh aku rushing ke Times Square untuk this event . 2 weeks before tuh is a great challenge for me . pagi busy dengan class the whole dayy . petang i have to practice softball together with the team . during the night , i have to join the committee , prepare for this event . balik pukul satu dua pagi . mmg tak dapat nak fully cope dengan study masa nehh . physio dahh masuk CVS plakk masa nehh . habess jea event , terus nak conass . memang sangat2 stress . nak catch up balik semua yg tertinggal . sumpah sakit . but after all , everything worth a try . nama punn pengalaman kann :)

#12 LE BELOVED TUTORMATES . VENEPUNCTURE PRACTICAL :)

ohhh tak cerita pasal tutormate lagi kannn . silly ilyana *facepalm* . we seldom snap pict during tutorial or practical sebab time sangatlahh packed . masa cukup2 nak buat discussion jea , then habes session semua berterabur keluar pergi makan . kebulur punya pasal . ahaha . but during this time , masa venepuncture practical , we had plenty of free time nakk cam-whoring after practical .

Despite all the moments i cherish , there's also some times where we have to face the challenge along the journey . struggles of study . hurdles of failure . itu sangat pasti . and its not easy . trust me .
